My Bio

For the past 25 years, I have supported parents, by supervising, nurturing, guiding, and inspiring their children as a career nanny.

I am a single mother, of a toddler daughter and a state-licensed foster mother.

I also served as a Founding Director of Family Services for the US Nanny Association, and I currently serve as the President for the newly started Nanny Sitter Education Fund.

With experience caring for minors ranging from infancy -teenagers, my specialty is being able to go into a home and bring order and organizations. I have worked both as live-in and -out nanny, travel nanny, NCS, special needs provider, the nanny of multiples, and nanny trainer and mentor.

My mantra, “It takes a village to raise a child, and I’m a village leader,” is what I pride my work ethic around. My career as a nanny began in 1996, and I later obtained my Professional Advanced Nanny Certification, in 2009, from Alexandria School for Nannies. Diversity is a strength I have developed while working with children and families with unique circumstances. Known as Nanny Kim on the Go, I have learned to empower parents and children alike, helping to sharpen their communication skills, and pinpoint challenging areas to be transformed by experience and wisdom.

Working with well-established placement agencies and using my professional background in human resources, finances, and administration has helped to solidify a career that I love. My Facebook group, with over 1k members, The Parent & Nanny Culture Community helps to bridge the gap with education for both parties. My clientele has included high-profile families like members of The Saudi Royal’s, as well as private families all over the US.
